Butajnova: Saint Ana was first mentioned in 1526, and consecrated in 1547. It was also the first gothic building baroquized. The head altar is from the first half of the 19th century, and the Egartner's picture of St. Ana is from the year 1750. |
Planina: Saint Andrej was first mentioned in 1526, but the present building orginated from 1659. The place for believers is divided by strong Skopi into the main nave, narrow southern nave and a nothern part which has been changed into a chapel. The main altar (1850) and the two adjoining altars are works of Jure Tavcar from Idrija (town in Slovenia). The altar of weeping Mary is dated in 1717. |
Smrecje: Ascended Virgin Mary was first renovated around 1600, and rebuilt in baroque style in 1769. |
Šentjošt: Saint John Evangelist 1664 is the larger parish Church. The naves arch and main altar are enlivened by ribbed and ridged incisions. Equipment is from the first half of the 19th century. |
Šentjošt: St. Jošt from 12th century was first mentioned in 1526. It has a gothic valled tabernacle. In the nave are visual frescoes from the first half of the 15th century. On the main altar from the beginning of the 16th century is the head altar from 1746. The adjoining altars are from the second half of the 18th century. The bell-ringer Vivencius moulded the oldest bell in Slovenia, and the second bell was made around the year 1400. In the church are still old crypts and divine graves. |
